Creative Zen V 2GB: Budget MP3 Player
If you are looking for a budget mp3 player with a long battery life, then the Creative Zen V Plus is just what you need.
The 2Gb version will play for 32 hours and reads MP3, WMA, WAV formats and also Audible audio books. All of this, combined with a price of just $100, and Creative really does offer consumers a worthy budget mp3 player to consider. The Organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display does its job well and is viewable from any angle. Besides playing various media formats it also has features such as voice and line-in recording as well as photo playback. And when it comes to sound quality, it also delivers. So, we can surely say this is a well rounded mp3 player video, according to all its functions.
However, for that price it’s impossible to create a high-end mp3 player and the Zen V Plus has its negatives as well. Here’s what CNET reports.
The Creative Zen V’s joystick is really small and has a cheap feel to it, and we wish Creative had included all the buttons found on the Vision:M. The screen is difficult to see in bright sunlight, and there’s no UMS support. Also, you don’t get the FM radio and video playback found on the Plus version.
For those of you who wants more info about the technical aspects of its sound quality, Woot provides the figures.
