Sony Ericsson W890 Review

Sony Ericsson W890 ReviewSony Ericsson’s Walkman series have taken a big share in the mobile phone market along with Nokia’s N series latest phones.

Competition is obviously good for consumers given that Sony Ericsson now has the W890, an update of the W880, as an alternative to the Nokia 5310 XpressMusic. Compared with the predecessor, the Ericsson camera phone is thinner and heavier, the screen slightly larger, but otherwise it’s very similar to the W890.

One difference, however, is that the W890 has an FM radio which its predecessor didn’t. This cell phone radio has also a 2GB memory card which is essential for storing music or taking photos with the 3.2 megapixel camera. As PhoneArena reports the new model is more than just an updated W880.

In contrast to the previous model, the appearance of W890 has suffered many changes. We can hardly say that this is the successor of the W880. The most notable innovations are the rounded edges and the aluminum, which most of the phone is made of. The back panel of the device is fully manufactured from the material, unlike in the previous model, where it was made of rubber coated plastic.

So we can say that Sony Ericsson managed to keep all the good features and add some important new changes by transforming its video cell phone also into a cell phone radio.
