The earpiece and the ambient light sensor are placed above the screen.
The keypad consists of a D-pad in the center. It’s very ergonomic and easy to operate. All the keys are very responsive and offer good feedback. The keyboard is backlit, which helps you to find your way in the dark.
On the right side of the T700 the camera button and the volume rocker are placed. The left side contains the proprietary Fast Port which is used to connect the data cable, the headset or the charger. The top and bottom of the phone are clean. On the back of the phone, the 3.15 MP camera is placed together with the LED flash and the loudspeaker grill.

The Sony Ericsson T700 comes with the new Music Player 3.0. It supports MP3, AAC, WAV, WMA, AAC+, E-AAC+, M4A and other popular music formats. The sound quality is as good as that of any other music cell phone‘s, but the speakers are not very loud. The media center contains a good video player that supports full screen playback, landscape and portrait views, fast forwarding, rewinding and other features.
The photo gallery is rich and easy to navigate through. The FM radio sports the standard interface, has good FM reception quality and auto scans radio channels. With the help of TrackID you can download music right to your phone.
The Sony Ericsson 3.15MP camera captures pictures at a maximum resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels. QVGA videos are captured at 15 FPS. The camera interface is simple. It has features like various shoot modes, different picture sizes, self-timer, white balance and so on.
