Touch Table For $499
We’re used to tables for eating, cooking or doing homework, but ToyQuest is offering something else. Consider a table with a large 21” touchscreen, a built in DVD player, speakers, USB and a lot of useful software. It’s mostly created for children, and there are a lot of educational programs and games like solitary, tennis and bowling. It has a music maker, dictionary and world map like Google Earth plus applications such as a calculator and calendar.
According to Engadget, Wii owners would be nicely surprised as well.
You can rotate the whole display for use while sitting — there’s even a built-in dock for the Wii if that’s your style. The table doesn’t connect to the internet at all (to keep kids safe), and we’re not positive the included software we saw is necessarily $499 worth of fun, but you should be able to check one out this fall at your big box retailer of choice.
There’s even a video available on the touchscreen table.
