HTC EVO 4G Review: The First 4G Handset From Sprint

HTC EVO 4G Review: The First 4G Handset From SprintThis summer will mark a turning point in smart phones. The first 4G Android phone is finally available.

Sprint and HTC came together to produce the HTC EVO 4G with Google phone, which is expected to excel expectations.

The HTC EVO will be the first headset featuring 4G connectivity. This promises almost 10 times faster downloads than 3G1 smart phones. Just think–music and video downloads will take you no longer than a few seconds.

The HTC 4G phone features some innovations like Friend Stream and Leap thumbnail.

Friend Stream enables you to gather all your social networking elements in one place, and Leap thumbnail shows all open Android apps on the home screen.

The phone has a built-in mobile hotspot which allows you to share your WiFi internet connection with other WiFi capable devices like laptop, camera, music player or a WiFi capable TV set.

In fact this is the first mobile phone model that can access the Sprint WiMax network.

Another asset of the handset is the dual camera system. On the backside there is an 8MP autofocus camera capable of HD video capture. In the front side there is a 1.3MP camera meant for video chatting.

With these two cameras you can easily capture videos and share them quickly on YouTube and other social websites in a few seconds. You can even share live videos at the moment they’re being captured

On the back of the handset there is a kickstand so you can set it down on a table to watch videos.

The HTC EVO specs include a 1GHz Snapdragon Processor, a 4.3-in. 480 x 800 WVGA OLED touch screen, Google Android 2.1 and  up to 32 GB of microSD expansion memory.

The phone itself will cost $199 with the contract, and $549 without. If you’ve been waiting patiently for a 4G capable phone, now’s your chance to finally own one.
