Your Flash Drive At Hand
You can hardly find anyone who doesn’t have a “pen drive” nowadays. Most of my friends have several of them as do I.
A pen drive, otherwise known as a USB flash drive, is easily portable, rewritable and removable. They’re smaller than a house key in size disk and most of them weigh less than 30g. One of the obvious advantages of a USB flash drive is that scratches or dust cannot damage your information. Its sustainability for transportation makes it easy to always be on hand.
The storage capacity of flash drives can range from 64 MB up to 256 GB and there are generally more than a million write-erase cycles possible. Pen drives in comparison with hard drives use less power which is also one of its advantages. You can even use your USB flash drive with thAte latest operating systems available without any need to install drivers.
Practically all computers nowadays support the USB standard, but still it’s important to mention that a USB flash drive is not supposed to be used as a replacement for your computer’s internal storage disk.
Buses like ATA (or usb ide), SCSI or Serial ATA (SATA) are used with the help of special adapters, for example a usb ide adapter.
Keep your flash drive with you and make your information available always on hand.
