Gadgets are becoming smaller and smaller without sacrificing performance. They’re also getting thinner. From LCD display monitors, through plasma TV’s, to cell phones, slender is best. Now, notebooks are no exception.

Although today there are many thin and ultraportable laptops on the market, there is nothing that comes close to what the always innovative Apple has created. The Apple MacBook Air weighs only three pounds and is not only able to compete with other notebooks technologically, but it also includes new features such as multi-touch technology or smart LCD display, which is more power efficient and offers greater battery life.

Yes, it’s a little slimmed down in terms of ports and hardware, but not enough to adversely affect most notebook users. The Apple MacBook Air has three ports on side: USB 2.0, a headphone jack and a micro-DVI port that supports DVI, VGA, but everything else is built in. The latest Intel Core 2 Duo processor with 2Gb memory and 80Gb HDD space should also be enough for most users.
