Canon PowerShot SD600
If you’re looking for a mid-range digital camera with good picture quality then the Canon powershot SD600 might be what you’re looking for. There is no need to advertise the brand as the company is one of the top manufacturers worldwide.
Priced at around $180, the powershot SD600 is a worthy player in the mid-range segment of the market. Although it is only 6MP, the camera sports a 3X optical zoom, 4X digital zoom, 2.5 inch LCD and lots of other features. The SD600 also features some manual settings as well.
The performance of the SD600 is pretty fast and quite sensitive as well. Here’s what CNET reports.
The Canon PowerShot SD600 boasts excellent performance, with fast start-up and responsive shooting. The quick shutter lags no more than 0.7 second, even in dim light. We measured a quick shot-to-shot speed of 1.5 seconds, which bumps up only slightly to 2.1 seconds with the flash enabled. Burst mode proves equally fast, delivering about 2.1fps.
Another positive feature is size. The SD600 is an ultra-compact camera that’s just perfect for people who travel a lot or it can be used as kids digital camera. On the other hand, its small size might cause some problems for people with large hands.
Reviewtime reports about ISO speed and noise.
The photo quality even in speeds as high as ISO 800 is superior compared to pictures taken at ISO 400 on other digital cameras, though not entirely noiseless. At ISO 200, the shots are as good as those taken on ISO 100.
