HappyWakeUp: Let Your Alarm Clock Decide

HappyWakeUp: Let Your Alarm Clock DecideAlmost everybody has an unpleasant moment during the day: in the early morning, when your alarm clock begins to sound during the sweetest part of your sleep.

Everyone at some point has had the desire to brake their alarm clock by hurling it at a wall, especially when it wakes you from a deep sleep or a really good dream.

If you are the kind of person that hates being woken up from deep slumber, and let’s face it, which one of us isn’t, now there is a solution! A new kind of alarm adapted to your music cell phone will wake you up with as little unpleasantness as possible. HappyWakeUp is the name of the new software for razor cell phone, which actually has the ability to detect the light cycle of your sleep and wake you up then.

Our sleep contains several phases, which differ from each other with the degree of their deepness. In each sleep phase our movements, respiration and body behavior are different. HappyWakeUp is based on medical research on the human sleep and its structure and utilizes it to it’s advantage.

HappyWakeUp.com reports about how the alarm music cell phone functions:

HappyWakeUp does not try to wake you up when you are in deep and calm sleep of if you are in REM sleep (sleep phase with dreaming). These are the moments when it is most difficult to wake up. HappyWakeUp detects the natural cycles of your sleep and the optimal moments for your brain and body to wake up.

This gentle treatment by your razor cell phone alarm will ease your wake up process, so that you’ll wake immediately with a refreshed feeling, without sleep inertia. The best moments to wake up are during the light phases of your sleep, which are periodically succeeded by deep sleep cycles, which in turn are much more difficult to wake up from.

The razor cell phone detects the optimal moment to awaken you by use of its microphone. It listens to your movements during the night and accordingly chooses the right moment to wake you up.

Before, these kind of detectors were attached to the body, like a watch or a bracelet. The advantage of HappyWakeUp razor cell phone is that it can be near you on your bed, but not attached, without disturbing you, if you are a sensitive sleeper.

So, by adding HappyWakeUp alarm to your razor cell phone, your body can avoid the every day extra stress due caused by a harsh disruption of sleep. Let your razor cell phone decide what is the best time to wake you up.

Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Mouse Hasn’t Reached Its Peak Yet

Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Mouse Hasnt Reached Its Peak YetLogitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse is one of the biggest revolutions at Logitech in the past two years. It has evolved from the Logitech MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse (Logitech’s last wireless mouse). But it has certainly lost a big feature when comparing with the latter one, it’s not rechargeable.

Logitech laser cordless mouse worked on rechargeable batteries, which were included in the basic package together with a recharging station. Once the batteries were empty, the only thing you needed to do was put them into the recharging station and plug it in and voila, more battery life. The newer version, Logitech laser cordless mouse, comes with a nine-month long lasting battery, and you will need to replace the battery when it’s expired. However, if you purchase the full package, logitech keyboard and mouse, Logitech Cordless Desktop Wave Pro, you will get a USB plug, which allows you to fully recharge your mouse while you are working, without interrupting your work. A 15-minute charge will let you work a whole day, but if you give it a 7-hour charge, then you have nothing to worry about during the next six weeks. Or you can just plug the USB cable into the AC adaptor, which is included, and use any wall outlet. The basic package (just the mouse and adapter) will cost you $80 , but if you opt for the full package with the USB cable, you will be out of $130 .

The mouse is designed according to the naturally curved shape of your hand and is studded with a great number of buttons on it. The shape of the mouse allows it to fit your hand comfortably, making working with it a pleasure. The next noticeable change in the sculpt of the MX 1100 is its right edge, which bristles from the side a bit more than the MX Revolution, thus providing a more comfortable place for your little finger. The Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse functions are outstanding. Thanks to the number of its buttons, it gives you a wide range of functions at your fingertips. The scroll wheel has two scrolling modes, which includes hyper-fast scrolling and allows you to fly through long documents and Web pages easily. The free-spinning scrolling mechanism has slightly been changed: instead of pressing down on the wheel to start the free-spin mode, you push a small button in front of it. Logitech considers this method much more reliable. The sensitivity of this Logitech laser cordless mouse can be changed. It can be changed from 400dpi up to 1600dpi. Here is what cnet.com says about the mouse:

Perhaps the most genius new feature in the MX 1100 is the one that’s least noticeable. On the left side thumb rest, Logitech has actually embedded another button underneath the rubberized coating. You can’t see it, but pushing it feels completely natural. Its default setting is the Document Flip feature, Logitech’s own lightweight task manager, but as with every other button on the mouse, you can configure it via Logitech’s SetPoint software.

Even though this product has it’s downfalls, the nonrechargeable battery being it’s Achilles Heel, we can’t help noticing and mentioning the brilliancy of this invention. If you can afford it, opt for the full package and all your problems will be out the window. It’s a good start Logitech, the next improvements on it should be a lower price and including a rechargeable battery in the basic package.

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte The latest phone from Nokia 8800 series will soon appear on the market. After Nokia’s last brightest invention in its 8800 series - Nokia 8800 Sapphire Arte, Nokia hasn’t stopped, and the result is today’s new Nokia 8800 model: Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte.

It keeps the same design of the previous models of 8800 Arte, with the difference that this time the sapphire was replaced by carbon, titanium and several other specific premium materials. This change, however, hasn’t affected its weight, it still weighs 150 grams, as before.

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte’s functional characteristic features are: a 3.2 megapixel camera, OLED display that has a special protective order prohibiting any kind of fingerprints and scratches on it, 4 gigabytes of memory storage, which allows you to use your phone memory freely without thinking about any kind of limits, 3G connectivity, stereo Bluetooth v2.0, Camcorder and audio / video player.

With its 3.2 megapixel camera you can make quality shots. Your outdoor images taken in sunlight will, certainly, be bright and sharp. However, indoor images are not too shabby either if the room lighting is decent. .

Like the previous Sapphire Arte, Nokia’s so called “tap-for-time” is present in this model too. That is, touching the steel surface below the display twice you can see the clock on the screen. And also “turn-to-mute” is a neat feature as well - you just snap the phone over and in this way silence incoming calls. You can’t help but agree that in this phone review you found both cool tricks and very functional ones.

Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte will be available very soon, October 2008 to be precise, at the whopping price of about 1100 Euros ($1623 USD), according to nokiaphoneblog.com . All the phones in 8800 Arte line are very expensive, probably because of the materials phone bodies are made from. So if you have money burning in your pocket and love being on the cutting edge of technology, take a step forward with the new Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte!
